Miami Abuelas y Abuelos Collection

This Miami Abuelas y Abuelos series created in 2019-2020 was inspired by found imagery through the Florida State archives. While working on my thesis at the University of Georgia in Athens, I longed to be home, to smell fresh cafecito in the morning and fabuloso. And so a series of prints that pairs abuelas y abuelos in fabulous poses with cultural Miami objects. The original prints were created through a chine-colle printmaking process on BFK paper.
